Jophur in december is probably the best time to be there. Its the winter season in the northern hemisphere of India, which means the conditions are like spring in Europe or America. With dry and warm days ranging from 13 degrees to 25 degrees to cool evening breezes ranging from 12 to 18 degrees in the desert areas, its a treat. Walk around in a t-shirt by day and jackets by nights. Or if you are feeling the chill, the pashmina's or beautiful indian textiles may be just want you need !

This Little cottage is a privately owned villa in the east of Bali. The builders and present owners of this home are Asians & Europeans, and the house used to belong to a famous painter. There are few 5 star resort chains in this part of East Bali, and I have yet to wake up to a more spectacular view of the Volcano. Its not wonder Walter Spies' paintings were so spectacular !

The City of Jodhpur was founded by Rao Jodhaji way back in 1459. Jodhpur offers the incredible imperial grandeur in its many palaces and temples. The marvelous architecture of the Umaid Bhavan Palace, and Jaswant Thada would probably sweep you off your feet. If not, the gardens of Balsamand Lake make up for the best hangout for a relaxed evening.

For the more adventurous sorts, you may indulge in kite flying. I heard on the grapewine that Jodhpur hosts the international kite flying festival every year and the event pulls an international set of kite flyers !
